Concept Kitchens, Unit 417 Birch Park, Thorp Arch Estate
The kitchen is the focal point of a new extension to the clients' detached property and is designed to make the most of the views over the garden. With plenty of natural light flooding the room they wanted to enhance the sense of space whilst being able to add contrast with the colour scheme. They opted for the simplicity of the in-frame Shaker design with chalk painted cabinetry for the majority of the furniture, complemented with Bianco River quartz worktops. The island is painted in slate to complement the darker grey walls, which add depth to the palette. A feature of the design is the elegant curved hood, painted to match the wall to bring everything together along with matching splashback. Improved storage was a key requirement of the new kitchen and the design delivers with a tall butler’s pantry with oak internal door racks, a corner Le Mans mechanism, integrated bins and deep pan drawers.
