The owners of this beautiful kitchen had embarked on a complete home refurbishment project and the interior design approach throughout was one of timeless elegance. The 1909 in-frame style was therefore perfectly suited for this theme, with its classic visual appeal. They opted to customize the cabinetry in Farrow & Ball Pavillion Gray, complemented with smooth Corian Everest worktops and a glass splashback creating an understated yet refined palette. The island is very much the centerpiece of the kitchen, and is rich in form and function. On a practical level it has generous worktops for food prep and also incorporates the hob, and down draft extractor, keeping the lines clean and seamless. There’s ample room to accommodate friends and family, with seating for four. Visually the island is strong, wrapped in Corian giving a solid contemporary feel to the design. Storage was a major consideration in the planning and the resulting cabinetry and deep drawer combinations ensures that everything is well ordered and easy to access, keeping the worktops clutter free. The island features useful deep drawers and a pocket system, which incorporates internal drawers, a stainless steel worksurface, glass shelves, creating a perfect coffee housing area.
